Lots of new things happening

No this is not an April Fools joke......I am happy to announce that the new website is up and running.....yay after months of hard work its finally live.

Click here  and you will arrive on the home page.

Take a peek at my new Block of the Month project..."Coney Island" (sorry...the image could be better...will fix this soon!), kits and new patterns.

And don't forget to check out the beautiful array of fabulous fabrics due in the coming months.

There are some things that still need refining (EPP) is one and I am sure that there will be others....this will take a little more time....so bear with me while these little issues are fixed.

Hope you enjoy

Carol

Just a quick note to say that my furry bestie is home from the hospital and is getting better by the day. I have the offending needle....its looking rather like a small Clover applique needle....nasty thing.
Can't let this happen again!

Have a great day
Carol
Here is a lesson to be learnt for all dog owners who sew! On Thursday of this week (19th February) I am off to SASH (small animal surgical hospital) in Sydney with my four legged bestie. He has collected off the floor what we believe to be a sewing needle and swallowed it. The offending needle is stuck in his neck. He will be having an endoscope procedure to hopefully remove the needle and hopefully will avoid any other sort of  surgery. For those who know my "big baby" you also know what he means to me so.......please always place your needle in your NEEDLE BOOK when it is not in use. This is a lesson to be learnt for everyone. If its not your pet it may well be your child or grandchild that suffers this painful event or god forbid worse.....

So for anyone who was thinking of coming to pay a visit at the shop tomorrow could you please put it off for another day as my "baby" needs more....thanks Carol
Thought I would limit myself to these blocks and some applique of course!
Using these pretty new fabrics from Moda. .."Whitewashed Cottage" by 3 sisters.

I have not designed a  quilt before that has off centered blocks....wish me luck !
I will keep you posted.

Carol
Welcome to 2015.... Well that's almost a bit late as January in almost over!
I trust everyone has had a lovely break.
At present I am busy painting my son's bedroom...well I have made a start on the cupboard at least..the kids only moved out 2 years ago..oh well better late than never! There are always things to be done other than stitching.

February's club packs are cut, packed and ready to go....feel like I might be getting ahead!

During February I will be open more often....Trading Hours for February will be
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday....9.30am - 3.30 pm.
Saturday...9.30am - 12.00 noon.
Come in and say hi.

New quilts for this year...."Little Spools" and "Feeling Blue" are all finished, patterns written and kits cut. As these are not on the web site yet just drop me a line if you are wanting more information on these projects.
"Little Spools" is available as a  pattern only or pattern and template set, and there is a "Starter Pack" available which includes the fabrics for the borders and binding and an assortment of fabrics to make 30 spools blocks.

"Feeling Blue"... available as a pattern only or as a pattern and kit.

I have also been making  cute little stars....American pieced...so quick and easy...the hardest part is choosing the fabric! These will feature as a Magazine Project  later in 2015.....more about them later!

The new website is coming along....a little slower than I had hoped...there are still some "bugs" hiding inside but these are being hunted down and hopefully it will "go live" in the next 2 weeks!
Its an enormous task loading all the stock onto the new website and  getting used to how the new system will work, so please bear with me whilst I find my way around the new "House".

2015 is shaping up to be a big year....so there will be "no rest for the wicked" in my house.

See you soon
Carol
