Mid North Coast weekend

What a fantastic weekend away I have just had on the mid north coast.
Great food (too much!), fabulous students and amazing hosts.
The weather was perfect, the views amazing and the early morning quiet worked wonderfully together.
Some of the ladies were making "Lindy Lou"....they were plodding along at their own pace making these pretty blocks from reproduction fabrics....

Most of the other ladies were working on their "Feeling Blue" quilts using both needle turn applique and machine appliqué....
Marj decided to make her quilt a "Feeling Red" version...which I cant wait to see finished...
In fact I cant wait to see them all finished.
I awoke each morning to a pretty setting amongst the trees....

And this perfect view each day....ahh another weekend in paradise.
I hope everyone had as good a weekend as I did.

Carol

Heading out to......

Heading out at the end of this week to Western NSW for a 2 day workshop.
I hear that the ladies are keen to get started.....the weather promises to be lovely and I can't wait to catch up with everyone.

Red and Blue kits for the ladies to get started on their Feeling Blue quilt....needle turn appliqué and machine piecing and of course using that wonderful Aurifil thread.

Part 1 of the new BOM is posting out today...."Coney Island" includes easy machine piecing, needle turn appliqué and hand piecing.....Not a member? then don't delay there is a limited number of programs available.

Click here for all the info.

Lots and Lots of new fabric has arrived.....Past Endearments by Judy Rothermel, Hannah's Heritage also by Judy, Tree of Life by Mary Koval (accompanying fabrics only at this stage), Ophelia by Nancy Gere, Mill Book 1892 from Moda, Bon Voyage by French General and Union Blues by Barbara Brackman......Is that enough too choose from?....I want to use them all!

Thanks for tuning in....

Welcome to 2015.... Well that's almost a bit late as January in almost over!
I trust everyone has had a lovely break.
At present I am busy painting my son's bedroom...well I have made a start on the cupboard at least..the kids only moved out 2 years ago..oh well better late than never! There are always things to be done other than stitching.

February's club packs are cut, packed and ready to go....feel like I might be getting ahead!

During February I will be open more often....Trading Hours for February will be
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday....9.30am - 3.30 pm.
Saturday...9.30am - 12.00 noon.
Come in and say hi.

New quilts for this year...."Little Spools" and "Feeling Blue" are all finished, patterns written and kits cut. As these are not on the web site yet just drop me a line if you are wanting more information on these projects.
"Little Spools" is available as a  pattern only or pattern and template set, and there is a "Starter Pack" available which includes the fabrics for the borders and binding and an assortment of fabrics to make 30 spools blocks.

"Feeling Blue"... available as a pattern only or as a pattern and kit.

I have also been making  cute little stars....American pieced...so quick and easy...the hardest part is choosing the fabric! These will feature as a Magazine Project  later in 2015.....more about them later!

The new website is coming along....a little slower than I had hoped...there are still some "bugs" hiding inside but these are being hunted down and hopefully it will "go live" in the next 2 weeks!
Its an enormous task loading all the stock onto the new website and  getting used to how the new system will work, so please bear with me whilst I find my way around the new "House".

2015 is shaping up to be a big year....so there will be "no rest for the wicked" in my house.

See you soon
Carol
