A winters day

Just to warm your winters day, beautiful new fabrics have now arrived, some lovely roses, lots of reproductions and one or three more modern prints, and you can view these and make your purchases by clicking on the link below.
Mourning Grays is a range that has also just arrived. A selection of fourteen fabrics ranging from black, grey, purple and mauve. These four colours represent the four stages of grieving that was required when dressing during the mourning period.
You can purchase these fabrics for a short time as fat 1/8th or fat 1/16th packs as well as widths across the bolt.
Click here to see more of Mourning Grays.

Fabric club and more

Welcome,
What a busy 2 weeks it has been.
Getting ready for the Sydney Quilt and Craft show and then the show itself.
It was a very successful show and it was lovely to catch up with existing and new customers alike.
I need to thank my friend Louise for all her help both at the show and behind the scenes and of course my husband who not only helped at the show but was packing patterns and folding fabric until midnight each night!
So thankyou all of you for coming by and saying hi because without you the show is not a success.
Now don't forget that the venue for next year has changed and I will have further information on that as the year progresses.

Beautiful new fabrics have now arrived (with more just around the corner also) and you can view these and make your purchases by clicking on the link below.

Adding to the "Stash"

Welcome,

We all know how important it is to keep our "Stash" at a level where we just don't know which fabric to use first, last or in the middle.

And we all know how important it is to have those fabrics that we just can't bear to put the cutter through.

So as not to disappoint you I have added some lovely fabrics to my stash and I am happy to share them with you!

There are some "soft and pretties" for those who like to keep it so.....and for those of you who just cant get enough of those "civil war and reproduction fabrics" then there is some for you as well.

soft and pretty

To view and purchase the fabrics....

Now here is a sneak peek at what is coming later in the year....

"Historical Blenders" from Moda fabrics....this will be a must have range of fabrics in wonderful browns, yellow, rust reds, creams and blues for all of those reproduction projects.

(there are lots more fabric ranges to come but as yet not listed on the website.....

"Coming Soon")...hopefully I will get this updated next week.

Also new for later in the year are these 3 beauties....

rich colours of reds, purples, blues, pinks, creams and yellows.

Just cant wait for these.

Just to share with you two images of when I was away for a few days last week in the Blue Mountains. What a majestic country we have, we are so lucky.

The Grose Valley.

Off to Tocal this weekend.

I know the ladies are looking forward to it and so am I.

Springwood, Eastwood and beyond!

For two weekends in a row I have been away and just loved every minute of them.
First of all was the Springwood Quilters Show and what a show that was. Wonderful quilts of all colours and designs...something for everyone to admire. And then of course there was that perfect weather for all to enjoy. Did you know that this group only convenes to organize this show?.....I didn't. They don't actually sew together as a group....so its totally a fund raising activity....hats off to this group and all others for their fundraising.

This is a wonderful show also if you love your shopping...they have over 10 stalls there to choose from and its a great market atmosphere that surrounds the whole event. This is my second year at this show at what has become a premier quilt event of the Blue Mountains.

So after a weekend in the mountains catching up with lots of friends I was off to the Eastwood Quilt show at Brush Farm House, Eastwood. I would just love to own the house and worry about the quilts later such is the beauty of this wonderful old home.

Eastwood quilters only have a show every other year and when you see the quality of their work I can see why! Hand applique and hand quilting feature greatly in this show and with such precision. In contrast to Springwood Quilters these Eastwood ladies are a very large group where some members meet nightly and others meet during the day.

Another weekend spent doing what I love....how good is that.?

Above is just a taste of some of the quilts, you can find the rest of them over at my face book page so follow the link.https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cherry-Pie-Designs/230688837783?ref=tn_tnmn

There is no rest for me however for the balance of this month with a trip to the Novocastrian Quilters monthly meeting next week, a visit from the Epping quilt group to my home shop the week after and then last weekend in May will be my Retreat weekend in Tocal (Hunter Valley). If you looking for a lovely weekend away then I still  have 3 rooms available at the retreat at the end of May so just give me a call if you are interested.

Carol

Working away hard today at writing patterns for these two new projects.
Who said sitting all day at the computer does not take much energy!! I am exhausted.....must be cuppa tea time.
Pink Ice is the new lovely little cushion so easy to make and will be available as kits and patterns.
It's coming soon!

And if you are wondering what is inside the Clamshell sewing book
then here is a little look at another of the inside panels.

I will save the next panel for you until the pattern is complete.
I only have to attach the binding now, print the patterns and pack the kits!

I might go and do that now with my cuppa.

Both of these will be available at the Springwood Quilt show
April 26th-28th.

Carol
