Ruby

Yesterday I was waiting for burgers to take to my hard working son and husband, and whilst doing this was watching a man getting ready to get on his motor bike and drive off.
His preparation was taking some time I noticed.....put on the jacket, then place this padded harness across his back, and I was thinking to myself....why the harness? He then turned around and I saw written on the back of the padded section were the words...."Go dog Go"!
At this point I could see a small Jack Russell terrior waiting by his feet.....with the cutest pink striped jumper on to keep warm.
He then bent down and lifted the dog onto the seat of the bike, pulled out the smallest dog harness I have ever seen and placed it on the dog. Picking up the dog by the harness, as if it were a litre of milk, he then placed her onto the petrol tank, put his helmet on, clipped the dog harness to the front of the padded harness he was wearing and finished off by placing the special sized goggles for his obviously much loved girl.
And here they are Ruby and her driver.

Just too cute.

Home alone at Easter!

Home alone at Easter might sound a little sad to some, but I must say I am enjoying every second of it.
I have been out and about in the garden doing some much needed tidying up and of course some stitching and planning.
The roses are doing their last minute thing and its just started to rain just to add a little more freshness to the air.

The nimble fingers have been working hard on these cute little spools.
I think they might go towards making a soft and pretty baby quilt with some applique of course!

I really needed to make some of these little blocks after seeing the lovely quilt that a friend, Lisa, has just completed. Really very pretty and she is going to use it as a table cloth!!

Well "no rest for the wicked" as they say, I am off now to help the kids do some painting on their house.....there is method in my madness though....because the sooner the painting is finished the sooner they come and get the rest of their belongings and I can use that space for.........more sewing things!

Free Postage and More

Welcome,
I am happy to say that I had a wonderful trip out to Dubbo and back. The country side is so green and pretty at the moment. If you get a chance over Easter or the next school holiday break then why not take a road trip out to Gulgong, Mudgee or Dubbo and take a peek at our beautiful country.
This was my first year at the Dubbo Craftalive show and what a wonderful time I had.
I caught up with shoppers that I had met throughout 2012 and made new friends and of course spent time with my brother and his family.
There were lots of ideas and projects to choose from including Quilting, paper crafts and embroidery.
Robyn, from "Robyn's Creative Sewing threads was there with her beautiful work.
and Anne from Piccaninni Patchwork was also there with some great bargains.
Miss Elizabeth and her friends enjoyed their first outing and were very well received indeed.
Thank you everyone for a lovely weekend.

The fabric has been rolling in thick and fast over the past 2 weeks and I have finally got all of it on the website.
There are lovely new soft and pretty florals, checks and stripes as well as shirtings and reproduction fabrics and these can all be found at the "Just Arrived" page online.

I have been busy updating the fabric pages of the website and hopefully choosing your fabrics will now be a little easier for you with new catagories.

Clearance Fabrics

Clearance Fabrics

panier de fleurs
With so many lovely fabrics having just arrived last week and many more coming I thought it might be a good idea to make some extra space and add more fabrics to the "Clearance" page over at the website.

I dont think these fabrics will last very long so hop on over and get yours now.
At just $4.00 per 50cm there are some great bargains to be had. So make sure that you place a "1" in your quantity box for 50cm or "2" for a metre etc.
Now on some of those fabrics there may be only a small amount left or there might be close to a full bolt so why not try your luck!

So that I get the postage correct for you please check the words "Clearance Items on Sale" on the first page of your shopping cart. Feel free to add other full price merchandise to your order but be advised that the postage may change.
For those of you who shop with me often you will know that I always review every order and will always use the most cost effective postage option for you.

Happy Shopping

Carol

P/S.....Those lovely new fabrics will be listed on the web over the next few days so keep checking back to the "Coming Soon" page or "Just Arrived".

Shop Closed March 14th 2013

Closed.

Just to let everyone know, I will be closed on Thursday March 14th 2013.
We are having a scheduled "Power Outage" in our street on this day and I will also be in Dubbo.

Power outages in my street also mean that we have no running water because we are on tank water only.......so "no power no pump for the water".

Thank you for your understanding.

Shop hours will be as usual the following week.

Regards

Carol
